DIORAMAS AND RELATED
My first dioramas were made from cut paper, paint, wood, sound, and video based on my retelling of the life of a young Marie Antoinette. These lead me to more complex ones of three dimensional figures, sometimes animatronics, and sound, The largest of these, 'The Pursuit of Love', is based on the work of Jean-Honore' Fragonard. Later dioramas included rococo figures, such as, putti and amorous couples telling narratives of my own devising.
YOUNG MARIE SERIES
An installation at Gallery Joe in Philadelphia focusing on my narrative of the imagined life of young Marie Antoinette. The back/ vault gallery was transformed into a sitting room for the renowned queen that included reupholstered benches including hand embroidered panels exploring her life, as well as, my work on paper.
